What We Do

Victoria Elementary PTA helps teachers and students make education a fun and well-rounded experience. We sponsor everything above and beyond regular classroom instruction, including all of Victoria’s supplemental and enrichment programs.

Recent and ongoing
PTA projects include:

  • FUN events like Fall Festival, Spring Fling & Jog-A-Thon
  • ENRICHING activities like Class Act and art programs
  • School assemblies like Imagination Machine & Brent Poppen
  • Supporting our AMAZING teachers with an annual stipend for classroom supplies
  • Purchasing new playground equipment, including a Buddy Bench so no student is ever without a playmate during recess
  • Providing for school maintenance, including new equipment for Victoria’s AWESOME custodians
  • Sponsoring audio-visual and aesthetic upgrades for the multi-purpose room (MPR)
  • Developing a Makerspace lab for STEM learning
Association Meetings are held every other month during the school year (Sept/Nov/Jan/Mar/May) and include refreshments, an update on what’s going on at Victoria, a short student program, and/or a brief message from a guest speaker coordinated by our Parent Education Committee. (Spanish translation is provided.)

Programs

Class Act (Pacific Symphony)

Class Act supports involvement with symphonic music for students, families, and educators. Local school music programs focus on a specific composer of the year, such as Beethoven, through classroom lessons, ensemble performances, and assemblies.

The program ends with either a Youth Concert at Segerstrom Hall for older students or an interactive on-site performance for younger students.

Reading Program & Rewards

Victoria Elementary constantly emphasizes the benefits of reading to a well-rounded education. What we do includes supporting that goal by providing incentives — in the form of awesome prizes — to students who read. We have something for everyone!

Skate Night

Put those roller skates on and join us! Skate nights are held monthly at Fountain Valley Skate Center. Up to $1.50 of every paid admission goes to support Victoria activities and programs.

Red Ribbon Dare Week Recess

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is an important time for us to talk to our students about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and other harmful behaviors. Every day is a different activity and each classroom designs its own Red Ribbon Week theme and banner. Join us at Flag Deck for the parade and banner competition!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Help us show our gratitude to Victoria’s excellent educators and staff. Students get to bring notes and small gifts to their teachers, and PTA sponsors a daily treat, including a coffee cart, goodies, swag bags, and a delicious lunch.
